Dear Friend of RVNA,

It was a routine visit for Jim, a physical therapist with RVNA. His patient, Helen, needed assistance with learning to walk again after many surgeries. When Jim arrived, however, it was anything but routine. Helen had fallen to the ground and was in cardiac arrest. Immediately, Jim provided CPR, stabilized Helen, called 911 and saw Helen safely transferred to the emergency room of the hospital. Helen survived and is back receiving routine physical therapy from Jim, and is making remarkable progress.

Martha BryceRVNAs Aaron Crook, RN, congratulates a good screening result at the RVNA annual Health Fair.

Responding to whatever the medical need might be is the heart of RVNA – and why patients such as Helen and you turn to RVNA to meet their health care needs.

In the past year RVNA has provided home care services to more than 1,000 patients (year-on-year growth of 25%) and provided 32,450 home care visits (growth of 15%) throughout the community.

Patients such as Helen know that RVNA's health care services are delivered with skill, compassion, kindness and empathy. Her adult children rest assured that these services are delivered to even the most vulnerable patients, with personal care provided in the intimate environment of one's home. Outside the home and throughout greater Fairfield County, RVNA is here for you and your loved ones with flu vaccines, travel medicine, Well Child Clinics, a free community health fair, health education, blood pressure screenings – transforming lives and keeping the community healthy.

Each year, however, the cost of health care escalates and many people often cannot afford the most basic care. I am grateful for a community that generously contributes to the RVNA every year – who alongside RVNA, understands that being healthy is the most important gift one can have. Your financial support transforms lives. Please consider a contribution that will positively affect the lives of those in our community.

With sincere thanks,

Theresa Santoro, BSN, RN, CHCA
